Hey guys just got home from Night Shift I travel throught raymond terrace at 1am past to night most of the town has been shut down for filming all the cars are smashed up. Big boom lifts with lights and a Police car witch isnt real about 15+ cars in total.

Apprently this is going to be going on till Friday Morining, Must be some serious Filming seen one of the cars racing around the town, not on the Old Free way just down the main streets, looks pretty awsome if you ask me.

Hey guys – I haven’t checked in for a while – the sets have remained pretty much the same since my last photos and due to the filming I haven’t been able to get very close to get more shots.

Anyway .. there was an article in the paper the other week with photos of wrecked cars and things in the street so I'll scan that and post it here for everyone

Re. the white stripes on the road .. there’s never been any all the way up the street – they’ve just re-tarred a section at the bottom of the street and put the white lines in not too long ago so that’s what the white lines are.

The other night we could see the street all light up from our house (we live on a hill in a 2 storey house so we get a pretty good view of the Terrace ) and we could hear shots being fired so I'm guessing they were shooting one of the action scenes. And not long after that you could hear police sirens – not sure if they were part of it or if some well-meaning local called the cops after hearing the shots, not realising it was filming lol

And as per the article I'll post later ... they’ll be closing one of the streets (near the ‘Wirrawee main street’) to shoot a chase scene on 6th Nov

And k8kate – the security guard never even approached me when I was wandering around .. strange .. I’ve been there loads of times and he doesn’t even bother to say anything to me .. lol he must like me hehe

-cries- damn they leaned up king street lol. i live about 10 minute away from where theyre filming and somehow i woke up when they were blowwing the cars up lol, but anyway, when we drove past king street ( going home after a christening at a church that would be perfect for tomorrow when the war began but anyway ) it looked soooo bad but good, like it was a good scene for the movie, lol. but its going to turn out awesome, and lets just hope Irrawang High School as their school

hi i just got back from watching them film part of the chase scene! i reckon that theyre filming more at like 12:30pm AEDT tho. it was fairly good, everybody was allowed to take photos, as long as your not using flash so my dad got 5 fotos, but i wont post coz they might be spoilers, but it was really good, and their was someone who got drunk at the Junction Inn and was on the ground swearing ( so funny ) and then he got sent away tho i think, still funny well i shall talk more laterrrrrrrr

THESE are the latest film stars of Australia’s most hotly anticipated film ‘ Tomorrow When the War Began’.

The Hereford cattle, belonging to the Stacy family of Mirannie, have been on the set of the home grown film this week getting their five minutes of fame.

The 50-head female cast have been shooting scenes on the Luskintyre Bridge after being plucked from obscurity as extras for the film.

It was a phone call to owners Bill and Robyn Stacy asking for Hereford heifers that landed their chance to star alongside Australian film stars with the Stacy’s best looking bunch selected for the role.

Singleton local Dale Richards, the film’s number one cattle carer, has been on location this week for the Stacy family attending to the needs of the cattle and ensuring they are looked after.

The Stacy family knew nothing of the movie and only a little about the books until getting the phone call.

Like most they have been kept in the dark about the scenes their cattle will star with information kept tight lipped.

“All we’ve been told is they will be walked back and forward over the Luskintyre Bridge,” said Bill Stacy.

“What for we don’t know, I guess it depends on what the scene is, for all we know it might end up on the cutting room floor,” he said.

Like all film stars, the cattle are getting a cut for their part however Mr Stacy concedes it’s not much and not a business he intends to follow anytime soon.

Interestingly, the animal trainer working with the Stacy’s cattle requested an all female cast to work with, again the family were not told why.

“Maybe they are easy to work with,” joked Robyn Stacy.

The film’s animal trainer, who worked with small animals on the film set of ‘Australia’, visited the Stacy’s farm at Mirannie to ensure the cattle were easy to work with and was impressed with what she saw.

‘Tomorrow When the War Began’ is based on John Marsden’s best selling book which follows the journey of Ellie and a group of seven others who band together to fight when an unknown enemy invades Australia.

Dungog is the main location for the film.

Is enjoying having "insider information" on the filming of tomorrow when the war began: the movie. Wahaha.
